Tpms problems with new tires

Hey guys 2014 f250 stock came with 245 75 17 load range e tires well i bought a set of bfg ko's of a buddy that had them on his 00 f250 not thinkingaanything of it , we'll I mounted them all up and put them on my truck and went to inflate them and noticed they were load range d with a max of 50! So I put 50 in them and the light is on for low pressure , this truck don't have a plow on it and a four wheeler is about the most it will have in the bed. So is there a way to turn the light off on the dash? Do you guys think it will be onto run these tires? Also heres a link to lift id like to buy what do you guys think? Thanks as always 3in Suspension Lift Kit for 11-14 Ford 4wd F-250 Super Duty [561.20] | Rough Country Suspension Systems

Google "tpms bomb"

That's one thing I've heard of, I've never tried it though.

Find a dealer that will reset the tpms, the lowest they can set it is 55psi I believe. I found a dealer that did it for free while getting an oil change but my normal dealer would not change it. Mine was set for 75 and would alarm when it got below 60, I keep mine set between 55 and 60 now with tpms set for 55. I think it alarms 20% low, so you might be ok at 45~50 but I would not tow or load to heavy with those tires. I inflate to 70 when towing my TT or when the bed is loaded.

What size are the BFG's?

Tires are 315-70-17 and the load weight rate at 50 psi in them is the same and the take off's at 65 so I should be good to go. I called my dealership today and they said they can reprogram them

I had tires lined up with my dealer when I purchased it, they gave me about $600 trade in on the stock tires and put on my BFG's before I even test drove it. Wish they were an option from factory as well as better shocks.

Do you have any rubbing with those tires? Next time around I want to go taller, mine are 32" tall, same as stock size.

Only comment on the lift kit is I would try to find a kit without shocks and get Bielstiens, I put them on at 500 miles and love them, had them on last 4 trucks from 1999 on. Others like Rancho rs9000 adjustable but I have never used them. Shocks are the most important part of lift.

3 Inch Rough Country

I've got Rough Countrys 3 inch on my 6.2 and it looks great the front drive shaft clears the exhaust as well just waiting on tires and wheels. I have the same question about TPMS. Find any other way to change it?

Ride Comfort

I purchased a Super Duty Platinum, I like all of the luxury items. I would like a luxury car ride, any suggestions on tires and pressure?

The TPMS minimum pressure minimum pressure is programmable. Your ford dealer is capable of reprogramming it. Weather you can get them to do it or not is a different question.
I have my TPMS set at 30psi. I run 65 in the rear and 68 in the front most of the time. when I am hunting or staying off road for days at a time I run 30-32psi. My truck is a regular cab, towing package, camper package overloads, and snow plow prep. It rides extremely rough. If I am not carrying a load I air my tires down. Most of my driving is low speed and off road. When I tow heavy they get aired up. I am getting much better tire wear and not having to deal with a warning light.
