I'm not sure about the lacquer part, but I like it.

Just the basecoat from a basecoat/clearcoat finish?
Or a satin clear topcoat.

Wow, both of those have an unusual finish. It would be interesting to see them live.
It's almost cartoonish.

House of Kolor "True Blue Pearl" is a close match topped with a matte clear coat. Un-cleared base coat is a disaster waiting to happen...base coat is extremely thin and susceptible to damage from many sources; abrasion, chemicals, etc. Base coat will even disolve when wiped down with pre-paint degreaser. Quite a few manufacturers are offering a satin/matte clear coat product line these days.

I am not an expert on paint by any stretch of the imagination. But what I have noticed over the time I have been part of the FTE family, is that what looks good on one truck may not look good on the next. For instance a full custom may look good in a color that a bone stocker dose not. If you have, or have access to a computer with photo shop on it, you could play around with different colors, or even body types and see what you like. Its like getting a 1"x1" paint chip at a big box store to paint a room in your home. I have made a few horrendous mistakes in that field, yuck. Anyway good luck with your project, and don't forget we love pics.

The satin paint finish is part of "the look" in certain circles, mostly the lowrider crowd.

Jimmy I have made a few of those Yuck jobs also.

Like almost no matter what colors ya mix together
when emptying out several cans of paint to make one
gallon. All the times I have done this it came out some
shade of chitmucklle brown. One time even metallic.
Ugly to say the least they was.
