ANybody have cab lights with a moon roof as well???

So I received my cab lights I purchased off EBAY, and go to look at placement for installing them and realize my moon roof is in the spot that the lights I received need to be placed to be mounted flush.

Anyone have cab lights installed with a moon roof??

Maybe it's the lights I received are just cheap??

Pretty sure I've seen trucks with both...

Most installs I've seen say the lights should be installed 2 inches back from the front window, should be enough room??

Must be the lights I bought then. They have a foam gasket on the bottom and with the curve on that area of the truck they don't sit flush. Now im stuck with the lights I guess.

Called the dealership and spoke with parts and service, and neither one could give me a solid answer...

I've had 2 trucks now (2006 & 2011) with moonroof and cab lights. Unless something has changed in the last few years, I don't recall the Ford lights being all that expensive. I installed a set on a 2001 for a friend a few years ago.

I don't understand the issue yet (light bulb hasn't gone off on my end), but like I said, I'm just not following what you mean by "flush". I have exterior cab clearance lights with a moon roof. Is this what you are talking about?

I don't know if these help or not...

After further research I did find this from a while back.... Anyone know if this still pertains to the 11-14 trucks??

I'll have to take a pic and post it. It's the lights I purchased off of EBAY. Ill probably just go with the Recons since i'm doing the whole rest of the truck with them. Hopefully going to be ordering them by end of the day tomorrow from CanadianSD...

Mine are the Recon's. They are cheap quality as well, but they fit and haven't leaked yet. I like the way they look so they stay. I wouldn't install what you have either. You have every right not to be satisfied with that fitment.

I have both on my truck. Those cab lights aren't right. I have a set of Pacer brand to replace mine as the stock bases are cracked and the dealer said no warranty. The Pacers have a slight curve to them

I agree. I REALLY like the look of the truck with the cab lights. Was disappointed when I saw how these fit. It's just that the Recons are so damn expensive. Its just a tiny little light. Highway robbery the Recons are but they are the best looking ones so.

Did you try looking into factory lights off a trashed truck? Junk yards, etc... I believe they have been pretty much the same for the past 10 years or more... just sayin
