Awesome progress on the jeep. I had an 84 a few years ago.

Thanks, I already have plans to swap the axles for some bigger ones..... I'm going to do a D60 coil with radius style arms up front, and a 10.5 or 10.25 rear axle with leafs. Plans for 40-44s, with 5.38s, welded rear, locker front..

Sort of. The old wheelers axles are long gone. I have a front D60 out of a 2003 F350. There's a 2003 two wheel drive F350 I want to buy from my work for the rear axle and other miss parts I need. If I can't get that, I have a 80s 10.25 rear I'll use.

That's where I'm totally undecided at this point. If the pickup deal goes through, I'll use the 16 inch wheels that are on it, and add a weld on beadlock kit. But I want some skinny tires, 13.50s at the most. In a 40inch or so, nothing crazy tall. So I'm kinda having a hard time finding something reasonable in price with the hight I want.

Other than the reasonable price, have you checked out the new 42x13.5 boggers?

Actually, that's the tire I think I might end up getting! Just have to save up a bit I think.

Ya, it's really not too bad. Still a lot, but for wanting a 40+ tire that's skinny, there's not a lot to choose from.
