My '76 Flare build

I have posted pictures of my truck on here before. It's about time to get started putting on the parts and pieces I have acquired. My plans are to build a truck that looks stock but isn't . I am going to rod it , but tastefully. The truck does have some rust but nothing bad . It started life in Detroit , sold out of Lexington Key as a simple F100 Custom 6 cyl flare . No air, no power brakes ,nothing , so I feel it is the perfect candidate to rod and race occasionally.
I bought it off of craigslist for $800 . The previous owner just put a new starter , new gas tank and lines and a new battery in it. It had a 302 with a c4 in it when I bought it.
The tranny had no reverse so I put in a c6 I had and sold the c4. Everything I have bought has been off of craigslist so far.
Anyways , thanks for reading , and here we go.

Here are pictures of some of my craigslist buys .
A battery got the best of the inner fender and core support so I picked these up off a junkyard advertising on craigslist.
Inner fenders $20 core support $40

After 30 mins of cleaning the stamp showed itself. I really don't want to paint them but if I can't get them to clean up to my liking I guess I will have to.
The engine runs well and compression is good so I decided to get a bit more horses out of it.
The 289 c40e heads were $100
Headers $50
The carb like new in the box was $50
The intake was $50 and that man gave me the fuel pump.
I also picked up another 302 block that I will stroke to a 347 and install when I tear this joker apart.
For now spring is almost here and I want to play.

Nice truck. Nice score on the carb and grill shell. Those inner fenders and radiator support will clean up nice. Keep the updates coming, good luck.

I tore my MCL up , so I have finally been able to move around the last few days and figured I might as well take the time to do something on the truck.
I had my good help out there with me .
Found out I couldn't leave him alone with a screw driver in the cab.

I have some other things I need to get pictures of that I traded for. As of now I have $1675 in the whole project . The way I got head deep into this was on a bet I couldn't build a 7 sec in 1/8th street vehicle for less than $4500. We will see .
