So yesterday I decided to wash my truck and after taking care of that I took it for a short drive and the tranny stArted acting funny .
Check engine light comes on and the code is P0500 . It calls for a VSS but I cant locate it . Also the fact that it did after washing the truck is making me think its a wiring issue .

Please help

 

Also I notice my windshield is leaking on driver side runnin down behind the dash could that cause a problem of that kind too ?

Would that same module throw a VSS code too ?!

One more thing would a messed up trailer harness cause something like that too ?

 

I don't know but the powertrain module / ecu is just to the left of the fuse block and body module and water on all that **** is never a good thing

 

Its def the water ! We had some rain yesterday and I went to check on the truck and determined that the whole area around fuse panel was wet. There is also rust on top driverside corner of the windshield . So Im getting a quote for the windshield to get yanked and rust repaired .
