Newly established public lands pass

A friend of mine sent me this and I thought it would be a good idea to post it here...

Purpose: Newly available pass to public lands, campgrounds, parks, etc...

I bought the civilian version just before the price went up about 4 years ago. Oddly, I've not actually been to a national park since.

is that Military pass free, or you pay for it?
i know a lot of retired military folks that like spending time in the outdoors.

It is free if you pick one up at a NP, but there is a $10 one time fee if you apply by mail. It is similar to an Access Pass or Senior Pass, just for military active duty or veterans.
