Choice of motor Oil

Wondering what seems to be the chosen brand and weight of motor oil most of you are running in your 6.7.

In my past powerstroke diesels I have always run Rotella 15-40.

But, what say the masses on the 6.7?

I run rotella T6 5w40 synthetic.Ran that in my 7.3 and run it in my 6.7.
Just changed it today. If you have a local walmart they have the gallon jugs with a 5 dollar rebate on each jug.Brought the price down to 16 for a gallon. Not bad.Must be bought in march though.I go 10k miles or one yr whichever comes first.

Motorcraft 10W-30 all day everyday. I hear people say good things about Rotella T6, but I change my oil every 5k regardless of how much I drive it. I also use all OEM filters and fluids for the truck.

I go 10k cause its sythetic.Otherwise Id go 5k..But honestly the yr comes b4 10k does in my situation.

My wifes new camry came with sythetic with oil change intervals of 10k recommended by toyota.

5w40 full synthetic. Brand isnt as important as weight IMO. I prefer T6 myself. Motorcraft brand is good stuff as well.

Rotella T6 for my truck.

Ford recommends 5W40 for severe service.

0W-40. Helps make the cold starts a bit nicer.
That's inherently synthetic because I don't think that weight is offered in conventional motor oil format.

If I used synthetic I would probably go around 10k as well, I tried looking for the Motorcraft Synthetic but couldn't find it. Anybody have a part number?

I don't extend maintenance intervals even if it's synthetic... the oil needs to be changed because of soot particles in suspension, whether or not it's been sheared down or not. Being a 6.0L owner I am concerned about engine oil shearing effects, which don't really seem to be a thing with the 6.7L.
That's the one thing with this truck I haven't really felt a desire to mess with, and that's the oil change reminder interval. I mean apparently living in Canada automatically qualifies my usage as "severe service" anyway.

Motorcraft 15-40wt. Heavy towing and my numbers always came back good on my 6.4.

I use Rotella 15W 40. Not worried about synthetic because I change it every 5K. I am towing 90% of the time.

I've got a couple of thousand miles to go before the oil change, but was surprised to see the oil cap recommend 15w30 instead of the traditional 40 wt 'diesel' oil. But then on the bottom reads 5w40....rather odd you think?

Ford has a wide variety that can be used in the 6.7 depending on conditions.
- Motorcraft Motor Oil 10W30 Super Duty
- Motorcraft Motor Oil 15W40 Super Duty
- Motorcraft Motor Oil 5W40 Super Duty
- Motorcraft Motor Oil 0W30 Super Duty

I use Boss Lubricants Full Synthetic Diesel engine oils (only available in Canada). 0W30 in the winter and switch to 15W40 in the warmer months because that's when I do all the towing. Just went to 15W40 two weeks ago.

Oil changes between 9,000 and 11,000 km (5,600 to 6,800 miles) depending on the conditions which means an oil change every 3 months for me. I let the idiot gauge tell me when to change but always change it out just before going on a month long RV trip where I know I will be putting 6,000 miles on the truck.
