Hey guys. Im new to the bullnose section but not new to fte at all. I have spent most of my time in the bumpside section with my old 1971 f250 and the 87-92 section with my 1991 f250. But now i am here with a new truck an I am staying a while.

My truck is a 1984 F250. Single cab long bed. It has a 460 an a 4 speed. Nothing much done to it accept new radio, edlebrock 4bbl, cam, dual exhaust and cb radio as well as a bunch of small crap. I got the truck off a family friend for $600. Running an driving. Has a belt squeel around 2500 rpm and needed a new ps hose but other than that ive logged 700 miles without problems.

The truck is rust free minus the rear wheel wells and surface rust on front of hood and the body is relatively straight. I am doing this on my phone so i cant add pics now but ill add some tonight.

Now for my plans. Motor and drive train wise im leaving how it is for now. Starts every day and gets me to school and work so I am not going to mess with it any. I need a new seat (drivers seat i pretty torn) but interior is clean. I am going to put in new door speakers as well as the box i have behind the seat now then the interior will be done for now.

I need a new front grille. Current one is a little cracked and spray painted black so I am looking at a billet grille fom LMC. Then I am going to remove all dents and the wheel wells. The patch pannels i need are $50+/- each plus shipping. After all body work is done I am looking to repaint it. No ideas yet but I am a two-tone kinda guy.
If an of you have restored trucks with custom (or different from stock) paint could you post some pictures to give me a few ideas?

Thanks guys. I hope to get to know some of ya! Ill get pictures up here shortly.

Hey buddy... In my humble opinion, for a tu-tone paint scheme, red and white all the way... Or red and tan/cream.

Good looking trucks! Sadly mine has a long way before they can look anything like that haha. I like the wheels in the 2nd truck too. The PO of mine put on some 2nd gen dodge wheels I need the new mirrors too. That's where most of my surface rust resides.

For the paint, I have a soft spot for orange trucks but I am having second thoughts about that. That red and cream looks great!

They ought to look good... I think the Red/Cream... Well I think more accurately Medium Canyon Red/Desert Tan... Is owned by someone on here, and that Medium Canyon Red/Wimbledon White truck on the bottom had 33k original miles, owned by a Texas Ford dealership and just sold on eBay for $18,500. Yes, you red (teehee) that right, eighteen-thousand and five hundred. 351HO automatic, factory A/C, XLT Lariat, etc etc. If I could marry a truck, that would be the one.

Well, I guess that says something about me if you equate the two of us. That could be a huge compliment - to one of us.

Here's a "different" two tone.

I found one that color scheme in a junkyard today... An '80 F250, pretty well loaded out. 400/C6/4x4, all the rosewood trim, cruise control, A/C, factory tach and gauge pack, even had that cool seat cover pattern like Shaun has in his '80... Really nice paint where the rust wasn't showing through... poor girl was plowed to death.
