Removing a 360 for a 460.

Where is the best place to hook a chain to the 360 from a cherry picker to pull it and the connected transmission out of the truck. The entire front end is off and out of the way, so it should be a simple task once I get some feed back.

With or without a tilting engine sling?
And with or without the doghouse and core support removed?

Left front head to right rear intake manifold bolt.

That ***** is heavy and gets cattywampus if using a cherry picker when up so high. I hope you have help if the dog house is installed.

Buy a lifting plate and bolt it to the manifold after taking carb off.

The entire front-end assembly has been removed. No core support, fenders or any of that stuff, its all out of the way. I ill be using just a chain and not an engine tilting sling.

...Then 2x with Rockittsled. Also slide a latex glove over the tailshaft housing or else it'll be a bloody scene of ATF.

I see where to hook up on the alternator side, but I couldn't see any holes on the rear of the drivers side head.

If you can fabricate a little bit, I built a plate that bolts where the carb goes with a hook welded on it.
