08-10 F450 front end noise?
Hey guys, quick question; f450's bad for front end noise? Not sure if mine has a bad wheel bearing or diff at this point but getting vib and noise at 50 mph and up. Noise doesn't change with directional change, only speed.....
Also if you have an F350/450 at highway speed is it relatively quiet or is it loud like the older series ( I can't be sure as it seems like mine at highway speed is making way more noise.....I could hardly hear my cell phone on speaker)

Tire(s) need balanced / out of round / worn funny. Bearing gone/going bad /loose. Tire rods / ball joints worn. Blah blah blah.
Basically there are any number of things that could be wrong. Just about anything sloppy in the front end can cause funky vibrations, and the noise that can come with it. Most common item is funkily (my word. I created it) worn tires.
Mine is quiet.
First thing I'd do is take it to a good alignment shop and have it checked out. Obviously you can do your own visual on the tires, but that won't necessarily tell you their condition. You can have a broken belt and not know it.

I know the right front tire has a shifted belt, been like that for a while and caused very slight vib at upper highway speeds.....the sound is more like the fan drone when the truck go's into fast idle.....taking it in tomorrow but just wanted to be sure I wasn't hearing things as I thought when I purchased the truck in the summer it was quite quiet at speed.....
