Quick-release bed extender mod

Quick-release bed extender mod
I do love, and frequently use, the little bed extenders that my truck came with.
However, they do get in the way of my 'wheeler when I want to just haul one in the bed, as opposed to hitching up the trailer. Both my wheelers are a bit on the "big" side, and the tires would hit on the panels even as they were tucked away.
But dragging out the ratchet and Torx bit got a little inconvenient, so I asked one of my buddy welder/fabricators over here at work, to "modify" my bolts a little for me, so I could run 'em out or in by hand.
Here's what he came up with:
And they work like a charm:
Easy peezy lemon squeezy, I can take 'em off by hand in seconds g
Way I figure it, I'm not expecting these things to hold a fridge or something, and if I ever do need to snug those bolts up for peace of mind, the ole Torx is still fully accessible.
