Anyone Done an F150 Console swap?

Hey guys, since i am installing the 08+ dash in my 04 I was thinking originally about getting a super duty flow through console until i realized they are never on Ebay and cost $2k easily to buy all the parts minus the air ducts.

However the F150 flow through consoles are much easier to come by and even have a shifter on them, is it possible to retro fit one of those into the 08+ dash style since the super duty now has a flow through console as well? To me they seem almost identical except for where they mount to the dash.

EDIT: Just had another thought...what about an expedition (07+ console) those are also cheap and easy to come buy and have a very similar shape compared to the super duty.

Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it.

Hope you have a lot of money and a good throwing arm.

Lol true, just spit balling idea's because I would rather not spend 2k on a console but 300 is fine because ill take my 08 console and put it in my 95.

Ill make some measurements on my Expy's console when i get home and compare them to my 08 consoles location.

I dont doubt it can be done, it just would require some fab work. Fiberglass would be the way I would go.

I don't know how to do fiber glass so unfortunately if it requires extensive work then that's probably out..at least for me.

You took the words right out of mouth. Glassing is simple and you can make it any shape you want. You can even do what I did and throw some subs in it. I even kept the top "console" of the shotgun seat that had the cup holders and flip-lid.

I posted the build in the audio section: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post12947053

I did a LOT of research before I tried it and it came out awesome!

Wow that actually doesn't seem as hard as i made it out to be in my head lol. I might give it a shot then. All i would need is the console to mat to the dash so nothing crazy like you did with all he curves for your sub box.
