If anyone wants to do a low budget Y block Alternator swap, feel free to look at my thread I put up the other day in my regular hang out which is the Fridge Trucks 57-60:

It really is a piece of cake to do a semi-modern (technically 2 wires + 2 battery cables) Delco CS series Alternator swap. No need to rev engine to start charging like a one wire setup. All original brackets remain.

Thank you, it's way overkill but it's a great deal on a dollars per Amp basis.
