I had some 8 to 10 lug dually adapters machined so we could run the correct wheels.

The Dana 60 is from a '99.5 - '04 Super Duty, which has a different lug pattern than the OBS.
Notice the adapters, the 10 lug pattern is smaller than the 8 holes that bolt it to the axle.
The OP used '99 - '04 Super Duty F-550 dually adapters (and Dana 60 axle) because they use a larger pattern 8 lug mount (220 mm?). I have a set here from a E-550 I am hanging onto for some reason, so that's what it looks like to me.
Then he had the 10 lug adapters made to fit the '99.5 - '04 550 dually adapters.
Just my opinion from the looks of the above pic.
Edit: Then again, there's no way those adapters would fit behind the F-450 wheel, so I'm back to scratching my head again...

I know this because I have a set of these adapters in my basement lol

The 10 lugs on the adapter are smaller than the 8 holes.
The 8 holes bolt in place on the oem hub.
So the 8 holes/lugs must be waaaay larger ring than 8x6.5??

Those two rings/Plates get bolted together.
The BOTTOM plate has the 8x6.5 bolt pattern in it, with some of the bolt holes covered up. The holes are large so you can run a lug nut onto the studs with a socket.
The holes that run along the outside of the rings/plates are just for securing both plates together as ONE adapter then.

Look at the RING/PLATE below the Top Ring/Plate.

What a dumb way to do it.
