I have ran Howes since new 04, still on the same Injects, Stanadyne Jr when I don't have Howes.

I usually get a noticeable boost in performance with Howe's. Any reason to expect that with the 2-stroke oil? Also, does the oil do anything to prevent gelling?

I did not notice any performance improvement. I did notice the injectors were a little quieter after adding the 2 stroke. When I added the Archoil 9100 to the engine oil, the injectors got MUCH quieter.

2 stroke will not help with gelling.

Do you add the Archoil every oil change? Some have said that you need it with the 15-w40 dino but not the 5-w40 synthetic. If you use it with synthetic, how much do you use?

I added the Archoil 9100 for the first time at my last oil change a few months ago. I plan to add it every oil change in the future. I use an unusual synthetic blend mixture of Shell Rotella T5 ....roughly 8 quarts 10-40 and 6 quarts 10-30. So I ended up with roughly a 10-35 mix. I can get away with this in the Florida climate.

Archoil 9100 is added at a mix of 1 oz per qt of oil. I bought a 32 oz bottle of the Archoil, and put in 1/2 of it, 16oz.

Here's some info on the Archoil. I bought the "PS-2" kit. http://www.archoilcart.com/ar9100-32...-modifier.aspx

I like the fire Howe's lights under the skinny pedal. My truck performs much better when I use it, which is every 2 or 3 tanks. Not sure why I do it that way, but I just do. Since 2-stroke oil doesn't improve performance, I'm thinking I'll try the Archoil next oil change to see what it'll do for my injectors and continue with the Howe's for now.

That's a good Idea , Stanadyne is good too a little more $$ but seems to work well. are you running a synthetic oil ? the 5/40 seems to be good for the Injects even though 15/40 is what ford runs.

Yeah, I was the one who bought like 50 gallons of the Mobil 1 TDT 5w-40 when AutoZone was trying to give it away back around Christmas. I'll be running that for a while yet.

Well today just to try this again I put in 32 OZ for a 38 gal tank
at fill-up. I pulled out of the station and as I was going around
the corner (under 3 min run time) I stopped and let traffic pass
so I could make my right turn and as I got on it around that
corner I could hear the difference. Much less clatter now.

Sean
NOTE : That was the Wally World stuff
