Found -- 1952 F1 with Mercury flatty
Stumbled across this while searching for a COE .. thought I'd share it
it's fairly straight and rust free ....
all I have done to it so far - is kinda washed it and scooped up all the broken glass .... kids broke out all the glass and headlights while it was sitting on a farm in Dixon CA since 1996 .. so the story was told to me ...(if you recognize it let me know the story)
it appears to have a '50-'53 Mercury Flathead with dual exhaust -- motor turns but I have not tried to fire it yet ...it still has the "tea pot" Carb on it with no air clearer? .... dash is all there and looks good
hoping it will start up ---it should keep me amused till I can find a 48-52 COE to build ... I have the COE fever thanks to this forum

I just plan to get it running --(big Maybe)
taking my time with the Merc ..flatheads are either good or bad
there is no in-between with them ..I have had a few built $$$$ in the past
I love the patina -- with that there is no waxing required
...my other truck is '46 Hudson hot rod ..
I just love old trucks .. and would trade them all for a F-6 COE
Glass is easy for this -all flat --the bed wood is all rotted away
thats an easy fix with a sheet of marine plywood and a bed mat

That looks great. The glass couldn't have been out too long. The interior is way to nice...or your weather is so nice that you don't have that problem.
Seat belts....were any other upgrades done to it.
Yeah, those COE's really grow on you. The guys here don't help very much either, dang enablers. I would love a COE and an F4+ with a dump bed.

I still don't have the entire story from the guy I got it from--
he got it March 2013 with a 52 twin both sat in his yard till last month when i drug it home for a friend in Ohio -(-who is sitting on the fence right now ..)
so it's in my yard tiil he makes up his mind . I am sure he's waiting until it runs for sure ....before he comes and gets it ..
but you are right I'd trade it for a done C.O.E.
plus toss in my Hudson 3/4 ton
with a few stacks of dead "American Presidents in the back
at this point in my life's "speedometer " its way better to buy em done
and much cheaper ....
51 Panel Man -- thanks for the offer of the used glass ....I am going to the Stockton CA Swap Meet this Sunday ....just a short ride from San Jose .. will you be going?
