hurst shifters
hey i have a 1970 f100 3 on the tree i would like to do the conversion to floor shifter... hurst has the indy and the master shifter, I've read the indy shifter is of poorer quality and the master shifter is better quality and is worth the extra cost... and is it possible to get a comp plus and make it fit?? or another brand?

We installed the HURST Indy Truck shifter in my '68 F100, which uses a '70 302 and the 3.03 3-speed. I like it.
We did have to bend the shift rods to shape, but it wasn't complicated. We heated them a little to help them bend.
The Master Shift looked even taller, more big truck-like, than the Indy, but I can't confirm this, not having owned one.

The GOOD version looks like this:
I used to use Hurst Indy 4spd shifters all the time in my hot rods. They came with generic mounts (to fit anything) and were cheaper then the more specific Hurst Comp Plus model.
