Service manuals
Using the Haynes manual for the expedition has been a little bit frustrating. The detail level is not very good. I was looking for a Ford factory manual online. Many are available on eBay and other sources to buy. But if you want a downloadable version that you can use immediately the options are limited. I went to a website called emanualonline.com. They have the factory Ford service manual available for download for 10 pounds , Which ends up being about $18 US. The problem is that in order to use the manual you have to run a virtual machine on your computer. It is a little bit of an unusual way to access information and it is difficult and time consuming to set up the virtual machine. Their virtual machine emulates windows XP. It is a little bit inconvenient to run between the garage and The computer. There is a way to set up a print function on the virtual machine but I haven't sorted that out yet.
I recommend buying a paper copy and waiting forward to be delivered in the mail.

Just buy a short-term subscription from www.motorcraftservice.com if you need it immediately.
Otherwise, order a DVD off ebay. I keep an old XP computer on my network just for this specific job. Use the"runasdate" utility to spoof the date to the application as the DVDs usually have expiration dates.
