block heater

I pluged my 97 in last night since it is soposed to snow today and every time I plug it in my oil temp is always above 70° when I go to start it well today it was12° i checked the breaker in the house it was good so was the cord was also good so my question is there a fuse or some thing in my truck that could have fail in the last week with my block heater

There's no fuse. You should check the resistance at the plug on the grille, should be about 14 ohms. Also check the resistance at the heater itself, and check the continuity of the two conductors on the cord. If the cord has failed, replacements are available at NAPA, just north of $20.
