Propane is $2.699/gal right now. I need to order min of 275gal. Where was the money tree again!?

Our tank is just below 30% so I am going to ride it out for a bit longer in hopes it will drop some.

You didn't lock in a price this last fall?

I am sure he did but you pre-buy a certain amount at that time based on previous years heating. So with the extra cold winter it has taken more propane to heat the house therefore using all his pre-buy up now having to pay full price.

Yup! You nailed it! We can pre-buy a dollar amount to lock in at that price. Once we use up our pre-buy we loose the locked in price and what ever is delivered after is at market price. I have never seen a propane company lock you in at a $ amount for a whole heating season just by signing a contract.

Yeah they won't let you lock in a price with no limit on how much you can buy.

No. Just about a 4'-5' drift completely blocking access to get to the shed. I think a snow fence might be in my future.
