V-10 Y pipe

Ok, I don't want to start something that has been beat to death on this site. I have read a lot of posts about this. My question is strictly about horsepower or torque gains from changing to a better breathing Y-pipe design on a 2002 with the necked down pipes. Has anyone noticed a seat of the pants horsepower or torque gain form just changing the pipe, nothing else. ? My truck is bone stock with the 6spd. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Yes, I think anyone who has done it including me will say the truck is much happier with the new Y-pipe..

Anyone else order from SPD recently. It has been a week since my order. I have no part, I have no shipping info, and the website says that it is still processing.

I have also called them 4 times, and email twice. I am beginning to think I need to dispute my payment and order it from 5star.

Did you swap mufflers with your Y-pipe? Most of the reading I've done indicates the exhaust sounds terrible with a new Y-pipe and no other changes to exhaust system.

Jacob takes a while. Mine took almost 2 months to get to my door. I would wait a little longer. The wait is worth the result.

I have one I bought for my 2001, truck got a major upgrade, I no longer need it.
Email me, I'd let it go very reasonable.

When I ordered the aluminized one it only took a week. The local exhaust shop who installed it said that it was a nice peice and definately worth going through SPD vs having them make one. Mainly for cost reasons.

Already had a Magnaflow muffler with a high flow cat installed before the Y pipe. The V10 is an even fire engine and will never have that V8 rumble. The sound will grow on you.

Thanks for the info on the after-market muffler and high flow cat. Yeah, I'm aware of the V10's firing order, and I'm not trying to make it sound like something it's not. I'm just going based on what I've read about the exhaust being very obnoxious with a Y-pipe and all other stock components.

Would you mind sharing exact model numbers for your muffler and cat?

You have to find a 3 valve truck or Excursion. I got mine off an 03 2wd Excursion. It helps alot not a nitro help but if you know your truck you will feel it.
