yes it might be a lot of rain....but the media is hyping the up a bit to much.... you would think we haven't seen rain in centuries according to them.....

keep your head on a swivel, have some common scene, and carry on...lol at least that's what i do.

I was being tongue in cheek. Yes, they are overdoing it, lol. We have had the best weather in the country, so it drizzles here and they make it a monsoon.

Hopefully i am leaving this state in June, gonna go back to country livin'.

Our worst day of weather is pretty good when compared to most other places. Still haven't had to shovel any sunlight

Where are you headed in June?

Hahahaha!

Im planning on heading to Texas, outside of Dallas. I met a girl on Palringo back in 2009, met up with her a few times over the years , and been talking/texting with her ever since. Well, she told me that it's time to pack up my things and move there, lol. Pretty scary situation, but, not doing it is even a more scary idea.

I was working the streets all night. It got pretty bad. Several interchanges flooded, and by flooded I mean standing water of 4 or more inches. I110 and I10 most notably, also I110 and US101 flooded. There was a good accident on the 210. A couple (maybe 3, unclear) semis jack knifed in a set of tunnels.

Between 10:00pm and 2:00am there were 77 recorded collisions in the LACo CHP CAD.
Between 5:00am and 9:00am there were 111 recorded collisions.

9:45 AM PRELIMINARY RAIN DAY STATISTICS: 2/26/14 2200 HOURS TO 2/27/14 0200 HOURS APPROX 77 COLLISIONS - PRELIMINARY STATISTICS ONLY // ON 02-27-14 FROM 0500 HOURS TO 0900 HOURS THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 111 TRAFFIC COLLISIONS IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY - PRELIMINARY STATS ONLY

You need to cut a flow line to drain those puddles, Justin. What better way to do it than with your tires?

The past two days have turned me off from lifted trucks.
I work in the road department, when we have as much rain as we've had in the past couple of days, everything washes down to the drains.
And guess what? For two days we've been un-clogging drains, culverts, ditches and gutters just to keep the water flowing.
Every young punk kid in a lifted truck has rushed by drenching us and causing the water to flow up and over knee high rain boots.
Kind of makes me want to throw a shovel through their windshield.
We are targets for this type of situation, even with flashing lights flooded signs and barricades these punks feel the need to do this crap.
For those of you who have lifted trucks have a heart, were only doing our jobs. We don't need this form of child's play.
I can't get out of the way in case you lose control so I'm sure I'll get hurt or killed. All for what?
Going back out tonight to check on the problem areas. It was a long night and a longer day today. A few hours rest and back at it.
I've cut up six trees that fell over blocking the roadways since yesterday.
I worry about being knee deep in water when these punks fly through the puddles hoping they don't crash into a power pole.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Lifted trucks is not synonymous with punk kids.

I'll leave it at that.

And its not just you. And its not just lifted trucks. Every car does it, and they do it to us too. Semi trucks seem to be the only ones who give a damn. They will flash their trailer lights and move over for us if they can.

Sorry to hear that you guys are having the worst of it. By middle of next week it is supposed to be back up to 80s.

I have a brother still back in Billings, Montana. It's -13 degrees back there, lol. I texted him today and told him that shoveling all this sun is back breaking work. He hasnt texted me back...lol
