gas tank

If I keep my gas tank in its stock location on my 55 will I have the gas smell in my cab????? would it be better to go with an under bed tank in the long run anyway??? just curious to your all's opinion....

If you're getting fuel smell in the cab its easy enough to replace the old dried out filler neck hose, and the fuel sender gasket.
These trucks didn't have fuel smells in the cabs when they were new.

If you do want to take the tank out of the cab there are plenty of options

I agree, I have a new tank, stock location, new filler rubber etc. and no fuel smell at all, even outside the truck.

A 55 tank is already under the truck, not in the cab. If you smell gas in one of those, you'd better put the cap back on the filler neck and roll up the window.

No smells from my stock mounted 53 tank.
