Hi guys,

A friend of mine had a small fire underneath his hood. From what I have been told the majority of the damage is around the drivers side frame rail. An opinion was that it may have been caused by the block heater. It is at a shop right now but I do not know how reputable this guy is.

I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if anyone has ideas about this.

Block heater cord is a possibility if it caught on fire while it was plugged in. If it wasn't plugged in, then there is no way the block heater could start a fire.

 

Did you have the Cruise control recall done?

As far as I know yes it has been done. That was my first though as well.
