Subford, what do you mean with the microprocessor revision? I'm also interested in doing this swap in my 1992, and my revision is 03 (no lockout counter), would this cause an issue or something?

Also, if it were me, I'd look through some of these older threads and figure out how to bump the mileage up on the Lightning PSOM, I've heard of people doing it with the DC pulses coming off of stereo equipment among other ways.

Around here it wouldn't matter because vehicles of that vintage are branded "exempt" on the title for the ODO, basically saying anything displayed on the ODO is invalid.

Around here they're only exempt if they have 5 digit odo's or they exceed or are suspected to have exceeded their limits.

I think it's 15 years here because even my 98 is exempt.

Ranger80, I made a post earlier and it is not there now.

What I said was that I have never seen a microprocessor revision 03 and I have never seen one with no lockout counter either.

If you replace the PSOM what ever the old PSOM had would not matter and the cluster speedometer should work OK.

Then I said I sent you a PM.

Did you get the PM?

I just checked, I got the PM though I have no idea what to make of it. I make things work, I don't break them down lol. Revision 03 was very early, I've seen some '92s with 03 and others with 08. The 03's are limited to only 3 changes, or so I've been told, but there is no lockout count.

it’s actually not illegal so long as you properly list it on the odometer statement. If becomes illegal only if you try to pass it off as original miles.
