Does anyone know what years IFS parts will interchange? I have a 1984 f150 4x4 and need some pieces. Previous owner did not have outer stearing ball joint tight and wollered the hole where it seats. Trying to figure out what years I can use. I know front gears need to match rear and so forth. Would like to go to junk yard and just pull the hole front IFS out. They also broke off all the caliper holding bolts.

80-86 should work. I'm not sure about the next generation (87-96) but I think even they might.

If you get the whole assembly, yes it will fit up to 96. There are a few differences as far as the brake calipers and the 4x4 hubs and how the wheel bearings are tightened. but it's just small stuff that you would only have to worry about if you were changing just the small components out. The whole thing will fit though. And when you go to the store for something small, you may need to remember what year you got the frontend from. Minor things like the caliper retainers, etc.
