Needing help!!!

I have a 96 f350 351 v8 and I need help fixin it. I bought this truck three or four weeks ago. I was driving it and everything was dandy and then it died while I was driving. No big deal, I popped the clutch to start it and kept on truckin along. It kept happening more and more often, and soon it wouldn't start at all. I changed the fuel filter, coil, and spark plug wires but it didn't help. Then I changed the battery and wallah! It fired right up. I started to drive and then it died 30 seconds later. And now I'm stumped. Could it be the alternator? Electrical?

I had a similar issue with my 89 f250 302 a few years ago. Only mine would die and then I would have to let it sit for an hour or so before it would start again. Mine ended up being my ignition module which is located on the distributor, not sure if it's the same in your year.
Good luck!!!!!

PIP circuit fault

Check the code on the computer . If it is the pick up coil in the distributor it is code 211. My 1995 truck did the same exact thing as yours. I parked for a year before I took a look at it.
