In order to try to get you a better response, I moved your post out of the old thread in which you posted and into its own thread here in the 6.2 forum.

Hopefully you'll get an answer here but you may also consider posting this in the Super Duty forum.

As for the question at hand, to be honest, I've never heard of anyone doing it but feel sure it has been done. Since you've got a Lariat, it should be easier to integrate it into the existing system but you're also talking about having to install the entire system which means the blowers under the seats, associated hardware, wiring, etc. I guess you could find something from a salvaged truck and retrofit it into your truck but I have no idea how much would be involved in doing so.

The heated / cooled seats also integrate with the remote start feature and are activated depending upon ambient temperature at startup.

So, I know you need to add a few things. The heated and cooled seats work in tandem with the automatic climate control. Check out this conversation, it might help. These gents were also talking about adding heated and cooled seats to their trucks. I hope this helps a bit.

If you are lucky, there MAY be a wiring harness under your current seats that would be plug in for factory heated/cooled seats...BUT, then you would also need to upgrade the dash climate control unit, buy new perforated Lariat seats which include all the necessary heat/cool gizmos. There may also be computer flashing needed to run the seats properly.

Sounds incredibly expensive to me. There are aftermarket heated seat kits available that would be cheaper and easier to install.

Thanks for all the good advise I think im going with just the aftermarket set up sound expensive to go the other route. Has any one done any mods to the 6.2 to get better fuel mileage and power?

These trucks are pretty up to date with fuel mileage and such. I added an exhaust system, an intake, and a tuner. Total, I saw about a 1mpg increase. For the money, that isn't much. You just have to keep in mind the truck is HEAVY! Personally, mine weighs in at just over 6700 pounds with about a half tank of gas. I wish you luck though.

Where are you looking for aftermarket heated? I would like to try that in mine...
