It just followed me home tonight, Mom...can I keep it?

What are your plans with the cab over and the F-8? I like to keep vehicles as stock as reasonably possible. I feel really weird saying this, but if you are not putting a flathead back in the cab over, a small block chevy bolts right in a provides more power. I really like 300 six motors (I put one in a short bed '66 F100 and really liked it), but I think a bolt in V8 is more natural in the larger trucks. I say this because with the right combination of parts there is NO cutting or modifying of the frame, radiator, steering, etc.
As always, we are exited by new projects. Keep the pictures coming!
Also, I'm looking for the stock air cleaner and associated parts for the 337 flathead in my F-7. PM me if you have extra parts.

I don't have any set plans for it. I always thought the 300 would be a good fit in one of these, but watching Scott build his extended cab, I'm not sure if it's any easier than doing a modern V8. I could slip the flathead I have for the Merc in it and get it running. Or I could swap out the rest of the drivetrain for something more modern. Or maybe flip it for profit. Unfortunately I don't have a title so I'm going to try to work through Oregon licensing, where it seems to be last registered, and see if they can hook me up with the last registered owner and go the lost title and release route. If that doesn't work, the job will get tougher as it's nearly impossible to get papers in Washington as it'll need a state patrol inspection, and they only inspect "running and roadworthy" vehicles. If anyone can help on the paperwork front, please send me a PM.

I'm not sure what it all comes with yet, but I'll let you know what I get. I can assure you there will be "extra parts"

Don't know exactly what's frozen on the steering. I haven't looked at it much and the seller never did, either. He just moved it in the corner with the forklift and left it there. His plan was to use the 337 from it and put it in the cabover, but gave up on the project. He took the flattie from the COE and put in in an 8N tractor.

I checked the chassis parts catalog and it said the 226 flat 6 was available 48-51 in the F5/6 COE's, and the 254 in the F6 49-52. The overhead valve 6 apparently wasn't offered in the COE. Since the C series designation was started in 53, you would be correct.
