5.4 deleting the EGR?

How hard would this be and would it throw any codes? I have the scc tuner if that helps. Only reason for wanting to do this is to clean up the engine bay and remove parts that can fail. Also the carbon buildup in the intake is a little bit of a turn-off too.

I don't know how hard it would be to do remove everything, but on my truck, the DPFS being damaged or, in my case- melted, does throw a code. It's the only code I have left to deal with.

With the SCT tuner you can delete the EGR parameters. But the egr system has never been an issue. I would leave it.

I have a spare EGR off a 2005 crown vic (4.6) I'm assuming it's the same... if yours is causing you an issue.

I wouldn't touch it unless it's causing an issue.

Not causing any issues, I just don't like the idea of extra BS under the hood.

You see EGR deletes a lot on diesels but not so much on the gassers, Like said above I am sure you are going to need a tuner to turn off the egr. My 2003 doesn't have a EGR..

Is there a sticker I'll need for that or is it a stealth upgrade?
