Trickle Chargers for F250 Diesel?

My Diesel F250 doesn't get drive often and I'm having trouble with batteries keeping their charge. I try to drive it at least once a month but when went out this afternoon, it wouldn't even light the instrument lights, let along try to start!

Would keeping a trickle charger on the batteries be a good thing to do? How would it work with two batteries? Move the charger from battery to battery? The truck is garage kept so a solar powered charger is out the the question. Would a thru-the-cigarette lighter trickle charger work? Appreciate any comments, ideas, suggestions. IF a trickle charge is what I need, recommendations on brands, models would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I use Deltran tenders on all my cars that tend to sit more than being driven. This is the model I use:

Amazon.com: Battery Tender 021-0156 Battery Tender Plus 12V Battery Charger True Gel Cell Model: Automotive Amazon.com: Battery Tender 021-0156 Battery Tender Plus 12V Battery Charger True Gel Cell Model: Automotive

I also use their Junior charger/tender on my ATV and mover. And finally, I have one of their waterproof tenders on my standby generator.

Tickler Charger with Two Batteries?

Would the chargers mentioned above work with the diesel dual batteries? If the charger is put on one battery, would it keep both batteries charged? I'm electrically challenged!

Yes, but they need to be connected correctly. I've seen some diagrams here in the past, so do a search and see if they come up. If I remember correctly, you hook the positive to one battery and the negative to the other, but don't quote me on that. Deltran also makes dual bank chargers that can charge two batteries at once, but that may only work if they aren't tied together like they are in our trucks.

Edit: I found the thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ry-tender.html
