Getting New Cam Phasers
I was hearing a very slight tick through the right front wheel well after my truck has been run for a while and warm. Took it back to the dealer and they showed me TSB 10-18-4 dealing with low frequency knocking noise at hot idle. They confirmed the tick and now I am getting two VCT phaser kits installed.
Glad this is covered by my warranty!

hopefully the sound stays away. There are a lot of guys over o the F150 forum that replaced the phasers and had the sound come back. My old '05 F150 had the tick since day one and I decided not to get it fixed since I didn't want somebody tearing a nearly new engine apart if there was no guarantee that the sound would stay away. But then my phaser knock wasn't overly loud.

Either way it's not costing you anything and replacing the cam phasers is fairly straight forward so I don't suspect there will be any issues with the repair. Back in '06-'08 the process was still fairly new and I didn't want to be part of the "learning curve" so that's why I didn't elect to get the repair done. Plus Ford still states that the knock won't hurt anything.
