Sticker about $33,350. White in color. WHAT'S THE "GOING PRICE" here? Some say STICKER. Which I will NOT pay. Any thoughts about any summer incentives on this specialty truck before the 04' F-150 debuts?
I bought my '03 Lightning about 3 weeks ago. The dealership did tell me that they usually mark up the SVT models $3995 OVER sticker. They came back to me with their first offer of $32,500, I immediately told them that they were nowhere close to my price and I was going to visit another local SVT dealer. They quickly came back with $29,500.
They did have the $3995 "Limited Availability" sticker on an SVT Cobra, but I don't really believe that they can get it in this market.

This is just the free market at work. It all depends on what the market will bear. I know that in my area, there are quite a few '03 Lightnings on the dealers lots. If they aren't moving, they will deal on them.
It's all a game when working with dealerships.

There are 7 SVT's combined at our 2 local Ford dealerships. BOTH are high volume enterprises. Will try to "DEAL" this evening. We'll see what happens. Just trying to help our economy.
Good luck on your negotiations. Be prepared to walk away without the truck on your first visit if you don't get a number you want. With 7 of them available, you should be able to get a reasonable deal.

Oh well, I was happy with the deal when I got it, so I guess I'll stay happy. Any time you can get a vehicle like this for less than invoice, it's a good deal. I'm just lucky I had money when the economy is in the state it is... We won't see deals like this forever.

What dealership in Pickerington? Was your SVT new? Becasue this price you quoted is BELOW invoice MINUS the "holdback." In other words the dealer made SQUAT. It's hard for me to believe that a dealer would sell a vehicle at a loss.

I read on the Leif Johnson Ford web page today ( www.leifjohnsonford.com ) that Ford is offering a $3000 incentive to buy a Lightning. I have never seen Ford offer this type of cash for this truck. Boy, times must really be hard out there. This dealership is located in Austin, TX with 1956MarkII's information about what invoice is, Leif Johnson for has their price at $33,310.......with the rebate ASSIGNED TO DEALER! What a rip off! Man, they up the price just to get you with the sale and the rebate assigned to dealer.....HOW CONVENIENT!!! I surely applaud the creativity of dealerships working with prices to make it all fall their way. The other option? $2000 cash back with something like 8 or 10 % financing. If you decide to go w/o the rebates, they are offering 0, 2.9 or some other percentage for buying a Lightning now.
Why does it have to hurt so much to drive a KILLER sport truck???
