Looking for info/part number for 300 bellhousing

Im still looking at putting a built 300 Inline 6 in my 64 f250 4x4. This truck has the front engine mount and bell-housing ear transmission mounts. Ive been told that the 65 F350s use a similar configuration for the 300. I would be interested to know what all applications used this type of mounting for the 300 so i can start looking for the bell-housing. Could build a trans mount but would like to keep it looking original. A part number if handy might be nice to so i can be certain.
Thanks

DOTZ-7505-B (replaced C5TZ-7505-D) .. Bell Housing / Marked: C5TA-7505-D / Obsolete

1965 F100/250 4WD 240/300 / 1965/66 F350 240/300 / 1966 F250 4WD 240/300 // 1965/69 P350/500 240/300 / 1970 P350/500 240/300 before serial number G30,001.

P350/500 = P Series Parcel Delivery, the front doors slide back/forth. So many were used by bakery companies, that these are known as "bread trucks."

Upper pic. 352 bell housing is not the same.

Thank you for the information. Let the search begin for a 65 4x4s and bread trucks. Did the frames change any between the 64 F250 4x4s and the 65 4x4s. From the schematic it looks like the front cross-member might have changed but it might just be the way it is shown. Just hoping everything would still be in the right spot. Thanks again for the help.

Not quite apples to apples, but I have a '66 4x4 with 352 and one with 300. The 352 is a shorter motor but the trans is in the same place so they add a crossmember at the front of the engine for the front motor mount that doesn't exist with the longer 300. The 352 crossmember would interfere with the 300 oil pan so it would have to be removed. Riveted in on my truck if I recall, but a little grinder work would take care of that.

The crossmember that the front of the 300 uses is also on the 352 frame, again if I recall, would need to look again. There is a yoke style motor mount on each but they are different than each other. For the 352 it hooks to the timing chain cover and that's why 352s using this mount use the cast iron cover. The aluminum cover doesn't hold up to the stresses of supporting the engine weight. For the 300 the yoke hooks to the front sides of the block itself instead of the timing cover.

I can take pics of both engine mounts or just the 300. Let me know if that would be of interest.

I would be interested in seeing the original mounts so i can see how much it differs from my 64 frame.

I've sent you a PM with a list of links to click on. One of the parts is vey rare so don't dally if you decide it might work for you. Otherwise most are readily available. Get them to send pictures of everything if they will or confirm part numbers for your application before you buy.

This is what the crossmember looks like from above looking down.

This is the upper bracket looking from the drivers side. Notice original FoMoCo cam and crank gears are in very nice shape.

This is looking rearward at the junction between the upper and lower brackets which are isolated by two insulators and a spacer, plus bolt, washers and nut.

Another view of the crossmember, upper and lower bracket orientation. My radiator is out, too, so pics are not bad.

Check and check. I also sent him numbers for spacer and upper and lower brackets. Can you post the hardware part numbers for a double check. Like you say, those can be daunting... :-)

I can edit the quote, too. I hadn't sent him the rears so that is great, but see below.

You quoted the post before I could finish it...which due to a glitch, took longer than usual.

I have a wireless mouse, its battery died before I could post the rear insulators. I replaced it, now look at post 7.

In order to list all the standard parts properly, I'd have to post 12 parts catalog pics, which I'd rather not do.

I've been harping on people for 7 years to get the apropos parts catalog, but most haven't.

If the OP acquires the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog on a C/D (from hipoparts.com), he can look up all this jazz for himself.

Fixed those rear part numbers. And one isn't a donut but more a 'slab with style'. I can take pics of those.

Two lower rear insulators and one upper. Bolt passes through lower, through crossmember, through upper with spacer and screws into each wing of the bellhousing.

I know this thread is old. I am trying to find one of these c5ta-7505-d bell housings. Mine cracked and has a chunk missing.

Do you have this available?

Thanks in advance!

That bellhousing wasn't for sale - just pictures I took of the one that's now back in my truck. Too bad - there was one on Craigslist about 2 weeks ago. I almost went to get it since they are so rare, but I didn't have a need per se. Good luck with your quest.
