I've never seen an actual answer to this, just speculation, but can anyone tell me how much higher a 4x4 truck sits over a 2wd truck in stock form. This is on f150 with stock coil springs.
I ask because I'll be buying all the parts soon and I don't know if I want to spend the money on a lift yet. If I can get 2 inches out of the conversion alone, I can reuse my leveling kit and be 4" taller than when my truck was new and I'll be pretty content with that for a while. If its not that much, I may go on and save more so I can invest in a lift kit and just go big all at once.

I'd do the conversion with the leveling kit and see. I drove around with 32" tires and stock 4x4 height for a long time. I had one person ask me if I installed my lift kit myself
This also will give you a chance to see how you like the handling of the truck with the higher center of gravity. If you still want more after that, go for it.
I did level my truck last July, and I don't see myself making the truck any taller any time soon.
