Both of sons' interest in my old trucks is to stuff a diesel under the hood. They'll have to pry my cold, clammy hands off of the steering wheels to do that. I plan to sell everything I have before I die, if I am given a warning, anyways and spending whatever I get like a drunken sailor.

I have to agree about the "investment" theory with old vehicle. I've never, ever had a car that gave me a decent return on investment. Even the parts cars I've been able to sell parts from for 2 or 3 times what I paid for them weren't great investments once I figured out the time I spent getting them, hauling them home and tearing them apart. I did for the same reason I work on my old vehicles, I just like working on them and having them around. I know I will never get out of them what I have in them.
