whats the difference between dextron 2 and dextron 3 atf???

The transfer case in my 85 f150 calls for dextron2 a.t.f, its a little low so i went to wall mart (the only place open last night) and all they had was dextron3.........

whats the difference between dextron 2 and dextron 3 a.t.f?????
ill go to the auto store today and get some dextron2 but would dextron 3 work just aswell?????

whats the difference between dextron 2 and dextron 3 atf???

Dexron III replaced Dexron II and meets or exceeds the same performance specifications.
