Spare tire crank no more
Hello all
My spare tire crank has seized up. I was going to put a new spare on as the original is factory old. But I cannot get it down.
How do I fix this. Cut the plate holding the spare up and replace entire assembly? Ideas? I have a warm day coming up to fix.
Cheers

I had this same issue---new-to-me E250, spare tire never installed, winch was a solid chunk of rust.
I've used these guys several times in the past with great results: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-E-SERIES-VAN-SPARE-TIRE-CARRIER-WINCH-/151234730510?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23364ada0e
Call them direct and offer to conduct the sale away from FleaBay and you'd most likely get a better price. New the winch is about $160 last time I checked so anything half price would be great.
