Roof Rails
Since my boy @Krazee Matt, called me out: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post15493175 I finally had an opportunity to take the rails off, get them blasted and re-sprayed.
Easier than I thought it would be. Pics of final product upon completion.

Tip of the day
New Alternator and roof rails
Installed a 155 amp alternator
Sand blasted frames
Ready for re-attach
End piece locking tab
Primed plus 3 light coats satin black
Helpful hint: don't attempt to pull or push the under rail gasket. Start at one end and take a side out instead of trying to pull it out when removing (it can be done) or push it back in longwise, just clip it in.

New Front Seat Leather
Ordered the entire front seat package from theseatshop.com, great product (as recommended by many others) excellent instructional videos and a very pleasant result.
Seat heater problem
The original seats weren't horrible but they weren't nice.
Driver's side
Having seat heaters wasn't a huge deal for me, the support of the driver's seat did leave much to be desired, a replacement of the seat bottom foam was mandatory.
If I never hear the term "hog rings" again I could die a happy lad. The 'tool' supplied was a pathetic instrument designed for a waif with lady hands. My hands could not survive using such an instrument of masochism. I devised another solution - cable ties.
Work the cable ties under the wire and use an awl to puncture the fabric.
The worst set up was the seat back no way could I get my hands (did I mention I have large hands) inside the seat back with that miniscule tool to squeeze those rings.
Result
Used the Dorman RB 628-040 Seat heater kit from Rock Auto.
I am very surprised how much the new seat foam improved thigh support, even though the leather was not degraded.

I did as well and was informed by the seatshop peeps that they are not the same, the inside (console side) has a notch for the lumbar and seat back heater to snake through, also on your seat back, the bolster (on the outside/door side) is a tad beefier.
