385 series: 460 engine mount inquiry
So my '79 F150/4x4 has had these mounts ever since we went from the 400 to the 460.
My first question: Does anyone know what brand or who made them? The shop that did the swap for us 15 years ago was a bunch of truck pulling guys.
My second question: I am preparing to pull the engine, which bolt would be easier do you think for engine separation. These particular mounts use only 2 of the factory bosses on the block then have a thru bolt style that captures the mount to the frame bracket.

I have the same set up.
The frame brackets on mine are from Hooker. I bought Hooker headers for my 76 high boy 460, only to find I then had to use these Hooker engine mounts. After I bought the frame towers from Hooker, the instructions said to use ford PN xicantrememberx rubber mounts. Another $400. $350 header ended up costing a grand.
I had seen that style in an LMC catalog. LMC part number 48-2092
Take out the horizontal through bolt and the engine will lift up. If you take out the vertical through bolt, it'll bind on the way up.
Also the shell, the part that bolts to the block should be using 3 bolts, I'm pretty sure.
