Check those Fuel Control Modules !

So every winter I see all of these trucks having issues with the fuel control module. Living in NE Ohio (the Rustbelt) I try to keep my 05' screw in the garage most of the winter as I have a work truck, and keep it as clean as the day it was built. So thinking I wouldn’t have any issues, I decided to drop the spare tire and take a look just to convince myself I was fine. Low and behold my fuel control module was broken in two but the truck was still running. Luckily I decided to do a little pre-emptive maintenance and hopefully save myself from being stranded. Replaced with a new Dorman #590-001 with the rubber spacer/ Isolation guards.

Definitely something I need to check on mine. Don't live in a place that uses salt on the roads, only 26k miles on it, but it is 8 years old. Better safe than sorry.
