Thank buddy. I'll probably do studs and springs next year some time. I think we are all ready to get my OBS back to the track and now that I finally grenaded the clutch in it, its time to get started on that.

Well, the first time and last time I saw the OBS, he (we) were doing 3rd gear boost-building take offs down a backroad somewhere near Dripping Springs. I need to get back down there if this damn ranch job would let me go for more than a day at a time.

And Byron was giggling like a little school girl as we destroyed my back tires. Lmao.

There will be a thread on the OBS. I have decided if I'll get some work done and then start the thread so I'll have a bunch of pics or do like I did this one and start the thread when I start the truck. We'll see.

New wheels and tires went on today. 20x10 Weld Cheyennes with 0mm offset and 305/55R20 Toyo AT2s. I think we can call the truck pretty much done as far as cosmetics go.

Zero offset? Got any pics looking down the side to see how the tires look in relation to the sheet metal?

How much worse is the ride now that you don't have much of a sidewall anymore?

The ride is actually better than it was. My front tires on the old set were chopping really bad. The tread looked like a wave pattern. High and low spots everywhere. I replaced the shocks in hopes that the problem won't come back. The tires are a little more firm, but the only time I notice is when I go around corners. The sidewalls don't roll as much and the truck is more stable through corners.

Thanks for the side pic. That doesn't look bad.

The kid had 20" wheels on the Excursion and when they wore out, we found a set of 17" take offs for cheaper than what 2 tires would have cost. Ride improved dramatically going with the smaller wheel. Glad to hear your ride quality didn't suffer.

My truck has always ridden like a broken ox cart anyways.. Lol. Like I said though, if anything the truck just feels more planted. I've also got Rancho 9000s on it adjusted fairly soft so maybe that helps a little. I sure didn't like paying for those tires though. $1585 out the door....

The OBS is officially in my sights fellas. Once the gooseneck hitch goes in the SD, I'll drag the OBS over to the shop and start getting a game plan together. First up on that agenda is front and rear axle rebuilds, so it'll be a little bit before real progress starts happening.

Truck looks great Travis! I'm not a fan of big wheels, but there is enough sidewall on these tires to make them look real good imo.

I just can't stand the look of frickin cars with 1/2 inch of sidewall showing..
