adjust or tighten up doors?

Is there a way too snug up the doors on our super dutys? My front driver and passenger door tend to rattle a bit when off pavement.

My door seals look ok... of course after 12 years I could order new ones? But curious if there is a easy way to snugg them up?

Hope there is a way and you guys can tell me...

Do a search for "door seal mod" I would start there I haven't personally done it yet.

I did the search and see that people are adding tubing inside the door weather stripping. I dont think that will work for me personally.
My doors I notice when shut tend to stick out just barely when u look down the body lines from the exterior. I can apply preasure on the outside and they push up nice and snug and look even with the body lines.
When I let out the tend to sag out again just barely enuf that I notice and it allows a slight rattle. I want to get them snug back in nice and tight...

In my searches no one mentions if you can adjust anything in the door latches?

Anyone know?

I'd have to look at my truck to make sure, but you should be able to adjust the strike pin in the door jamb.

The hinges are slotted so they can be adjusted on both sides and the door pin is as well.

A lot of people report good results, all it did for me was make my door hard to close.

Is the bad alignment/ body line uniform top and bottom ? I suspect it is because your doors rattle but if not report back and I can offer some advice on how to correct that.

If the body line is uniformly out of alignment adjusting the striker pin should pull it in.

The door lines look even all the way around the doors when closed. They just sit out a little at the end. Im going out now and going to move
the stricker in just a bit and see if that snugs em up tight and will bring the door lines back even... Hope this works

Well I took the 2 torx bolts and loosened them. Sprayed some lubricant in on the threads. Use a hammer and bumped the stricker over. It didnt really move much... I got them snugged back up. It brought my door's in a little.
They still open and close just fine. From the outside it looks as they did go in just a little. Off to find a bumpy dirt road...
I guess those strickers aren't really adjustable much??

Let us know how that adjustment alone worked as far as rattles on the bumpy roads. I've got the same rattles and have wondered if adjusting the striker and possibly hinges is all it needs, or if I need to add the tubing inside the door seals.

My strikers are not adjustable. I haven't looked at the hinges though. My driver's door sounds like it's going to fall off when i go over rough bumpy roads. When I get through the "needs to get done" list I'll move onto the "really should get to this one day" list as my time and allowance permits.

So far so good. No rattles and my doors look a little more flush.

however my strickers didnt seem to be real adjustable. I got them to move in just enuf that u could really tell where they were prior... I guess that little amount of movement worked for now... wish they were fully adjustable from the factory... lubed up my doors latches and seals. Should be good for another 100 thousand I hope
