Best Code Reader ? Torque Pro ? Auto Enginuity ? NGS ?
What is the best code reader, scanner, diagnostic tool for a 1995 E.B. Bronco with 5.8L and E40D?
It is my understanding that the 1995 is OBDI.
Not OBDII, correct?
I will probably be buying AutoEnginuity for my 2002 7.3L diesel van, but I don't see where the Ford Enhanced Bundle works on the Bronco or the 1990's 5.8s. I was hoping it would cover both vehicles.
I am not opposed to buying a New Generation Star and the appropriate cards if that is the way to go.
Any suggestions for the best code reader, scanner, diagnostic tool?
BTW I did use the search function before starting this thread.

I aree with Paul. Codes are codes... if the method were less tedious and more accurate, I would say forget the reader and use a paperclip because in spite of the fact that the STI connector does have data terminals in it, few if any code readers actually utilize it. The "paperclip method" is tedious and sketchy if you really need to resolve some issue right away so go for the reader that does the job but don't spend a fortune because it is just going to spit out codes that you will still need to interpret before diagnosing and repairing can begin.
