OT: Southeast Winter storm
Hope everyone is staying safe out there. I hope to not have to go anywhere, but it's nice having a truck that I know is capable of getting me where I need to go if such a need arises. Here's the view right now from my garage looking towards the back of the house. Still calling for about 12+ more hours of sleet and freezing rain followed by a couple of inches of snow. Y'all up North can have your winter weather back!

We finally got into full swing with snowmobiling around these parts.. The snow would come to just be washed away with warm weather. But the last 2 weeks has been "game on" Finally.. It certainly has been a wierd year all over the country. Freakin -14 this morning not counting the wind chill.

A lot of doctor's offices in downtown Birmingham are closing early today, partially due to cancellations from those who didn't want to get out, and partially as a reaction to keep people from potentially "getting stuck at the office overnight" like they did a couple weeks back.
My office is on the southern loop (459), and we have a lot of folks who live further north who are leaving early because they truly could be impacted by the current conditions.
Otherwise, it's just a cold rainy day in Birmingham (for the most part).
