F250 super duty, intermittent engine stop
2003 F250 6.0.. 114,000 Has intermittent engine stop running, Always hot engine. Will always start again. Sometimes it just has a one second dead engine will driving and starts going again. Sometimes the throttle is not giving engine speed after this happens. No trouble codes.

Yes if I had a good program to capture the soft codes. Can you recommend one? I just put in a crankshaft position sensor today cause its 10 years old. I put a new ICP sensor about 2 years ago. Thats a difficult to get out part.

Actually, mine has been doing this lately, any suggestions? I have a stall on my engine under throttle, and the WIF light and glow plug light come on. but it corrects itself, seems that it is starting to happen a lot more. I emptied my HFCM and didnt see any water but a bunch of algae came out but still didnt correct the issue.

This sounds like a wire chaffing on the steering column or the ignition switch has a big a$$ set of keys hanging on it and the vehicle behaves the key is turned off for a brief moment (like on a bump)..

Yeah, I actually have been using XDP religiously at ever fill up for 4 years now, prior to that I used Diesel Kleen, I have the new updated thumb screw plug and drained the water and there was tons of algae in the housing, I am thinking I will be removing the HFCM manifold and cleaning it up real good. Once I initially cleaned it and sprayed some carb cleaner it, it still continued to happen, but as it started to get sluggish, I laid in on the gas pedal and stayed running like a raped ape. But it seems like happens mostly when I am going from idle speed to light accelerator speed, but If I lay into the gas pedal no issues. Kinda odd... But I am going to remove the manifold cover and install with a new one, just in case it happens to be the sensor or gummed up with algae. I will report back...
