Hello, my name is Anders and i live in Norway. My i problem is that i want to buy a 2000 ford f250 but my driving license do not allow me to drive this, because i have the normal driving license for most cars, but the f250 is register as a light truck and i it will cost me 15 000 nok to get that license. But i got one option and that is to register the truck as a regular passanger car / normal car that will allow me to drive the car on my license but i will not be able to load very much on the truck, i can also register it as an van.
But our traffic station needs papers from the factory about what have to be changed on the truck before i can register it as a passanger car/ normal car or van. This is really stupid because it could not be necessary to change anything, but the people in our traffic stations are stupid.
So is it anyone here that can help me find some papers so i can give the traffic station?
ps: sorry about my bad english
I doubt that your registration "options" in Norway are valid in USA . Here , a truck is a truck . In some states (not all states) you may have an option to register it as a "commercial" or "non-commercial" truck , or, in some states you may reduce its gross vehicle weight rating (GWVR) to reduce annual registration fee .
wish you all the best,
