Anyway of Find out forsure???
You know what - Now that you mention it- I noticed something kinda funny the other day. i have the Actron CP9190 Elite AutoScanner Pro Diagnostic Code Scanner. If I plug it into the truck with the engine running it kills the truck.
It doesnt wanna do anything with the truck except read codes. I can look at or read any other data. ( I havent had a check engine light on so I dont know if it can even read the codes)
If I try to read freeze frame data it causes the truck to lobe and eventually die.
Now I know the cheap scanners dont work good with these trucks but I thought my 300$ scanner would work.
Does this sound weird or is it normal.

Here is what I found out.....
I went back to a 15k. resistor.
With this resistor installed. It now has great take off - It rockets threw all gears and does not lose any pep until 70mph and when it shifts into overdrive... At this point The truck will still accl but is real dogish. Holding the pedal down on the floor - the truck will slowly claim in speed. If its going up hill the speed stays the same.
I noticed at 70 when the truck shifts - the boost goes from 15ish to 13/12ish
I have 4.11 so 70ish is about 2500rpms. Does this sound right as far as boost goes?
The truck will accl slowly once past 70 - I got it upto 80 before i let off. The faster i go past 70 the longer it takes to gain speed. If that makes since.
Something I noticed about this truck --- I can not for the life of me get this thing to do anything more then puff light black smoke. The only time it will smoke at all is if I in park and N and revving the engine really good a few times..... A buddy came down a bet me 5$ dollars he could get it to smoke - I took the bet - He popped the hood and threw a trash bag over half of my k&N air filet trying to choke the engine out and it still would not smoke black.
Does any of this new info help at all?? Anyone Anything?

Ok - Did some testing to at a old airport landing strp.
Here is what I found out.....
I went back to a 15k. resistor.
