I just started and drove my truck down the street, acted like it was running out of fuel and stalled out. The fuel light was on so I put a couple gallons in the tank. Primed the fuel bowl and its spraying out of the drain valve when I open it. Truck acts like it wants to start but wont stay running long enough to hit the pedal. Its about 1qt low on oil. Any help would be great, I hope its not hpop! Maybe the lpop? It leaks at the seal down there and has for years.

Try cranking it more. You can hold about 1/4-1/2 throttle when cranking too. You may just have air in the fuel rails. sounds like you have good fuel pressure, but you may want to check it too.

BTW, a couple gallons of fuel in these tanks is not more than an 1" of fuel.

 

My front crank seal leaked as well. It contaminated the CPS connector, I'd check that.

 

Thanks, got it started and filled up the tank. Still running a little rough so im going to change oil/ filters now. I just rebuilt the hpop line connectors a couple weeks ago and put new fuel filter in it at the same time. I haven't checked the hpop res to see if its staying full. I will check out the cps connector while im under the truck.
